Film director and videographer in Paris

I help companies, brands and institutions create photo and video content: corporate films, interviews, social media content, video reports and promotional videos.

I'm a director, videographer and content creator based in Lille, and I'm regularly in Paris working with companies, institutions, non-profits and brands that have a real story to tell. Each time, I look for the right narrative angle to bring out what they do and how their brand is seen. After nearly 10 years of going back and forth between the two cities, I know Paris studios, technical suppliers and filming locations inside out. I also work in Brittany and anywhere in France, depending on the project.

One hour by train, or by car when there's a lot of kit. In practice, a shoot in Paris is prepared and delivered on the same timescale as a shoot in Lille, and the travel doesn't weigh on the budget.

Working with a director who doesn't have a Paris-based company has an advantage clients notice quickly: there's no middleman. You talk to the person who writes, films and edits. No project manager passing messages along, no team that changes between the quote and the delivery, no production company taking a margin on work it doesn't actually do.

In Paris, I've filmed for the Parc de La Villette, for Utopia 56, and in co-production with France Télévisions. I also work there for brands and groups with their head office in the city, such as Avène, Corine de Farme, McCain and COOPTALIS, on corporate films, interviews and social media content.

A Paris shoot is usually grouped into one or two days: interviews, B-roll and aerial shots are filmed in the same session, so there's no need for several trips. I'm a certified drone pilot and I put together the flight authorisation requests myself, including in restricted zones. In Paris, where airspace is restricted almost everywhere, that's what makes the difference between an aerial shot that happens and one that gets dropped halfway through the project.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in Paris?

Yes, regularly. I'm based in Lille, one hour from Paris by high-speed train, and I film in Paris and Île-de-France as often as projects need me to.

Does travel cost more?

Travel costs are listed separately on the quote, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

What projects have you filmed in Paris?

In Paris and Île-de-France, I've filmed for the Parc de La Villette, for Roquette Beauté in Saint-Denis and at the In-Cosmetics and Fi Europe trade shows, as well as for Culligan, Adagio and the Alive group.

What kind of films do you make?

Corporate and institutional films, interviews and testimonials, social media content, event filming and documentaries. I write, film and edit everything myself.

Can you film with a drone in Paris?

Flying over Paris is tightly regulated and often not allowed. I'm a certified drone pilot: I'll look with you at what's permitted at the planned location, put in the requests when it's possible, and tell you honestly when it isn't.

What are your rates in Paris?

The same as anywhere else: a filming day starts at 450 € excl. VAT and an editing day at 400 € excl. VAT, equipment not included. For Paris and Île-de-France, travel is a flat fee of 175 € per shoot. You'll find the full details of each package on the Services page.
